Gregory Trombly, Ph.D.(2004) retired from public education in 2004, after serving as a teacher and administrator for 35 years, in the Liverpool Central School District, located in Central New York.
Since his retirement, which he prefers to call, “recreatement” Dr. Trombly has been working with future teachers in higher education. He served as an adjunct faculty member at LeMoyne College, and SUNY Oswego and a Visiting Assistant Professor at Alfred University. He maintains affiliations with several professional organizations including membership on the UI&U International Alumni Board.
Most recently he has returned to teaching youngsters as a part-time Visiting Teaching Artist at Clearview Christian Girls School in Maui. He and wife Carolyn are volunteering time and efforts to assist fellow alum Dr. Vicki Draeger (UI&U 2002) who owns and operates the school. At the school Dr. Trombly shares his love for pastel art, through demonstration and direct instruction. He has participated in a number of solo exhibitions in New York State and won several awards for his work. Being able to share his talent with young people on the beautiful Island of Maui is truly a blessing!
