Lakida Joash
There is a saying that I use to remain strong to in my daily life, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13. This particular saying allows me to move forward in everyday life and know that no matter what obstacle comes my way, I am able to overcome if I continue to push and work hard in everything I do.

Lakida Nicole Joash is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and 33 year old mother of four and step-mother to two. She is a 1997 graduate of Woodward High School in Cincinnati, Ohio and a 2012 graduate of Union Institute and University with a Bachelors of Science in Human Services and a concentration in Addictions. Her passion is helping people and she has been employeed by Talbert House in Cincinnati, Ohio for 8 years where she serves as an administrative specialist.

Lakida's goal in life is to start a group center for adolescent mothers with substance abuse issues. It is also a lifelong goal to continue to expand the event planning business she began 2 years ago. In addition to serving on UI&U's Alumni Board, Lakida serves as the youth ministry director at the Philippian Missionary Baptist Church.
