Chief Sanchez has served in law enforcement for 30 years and has been the Chief of Police for the City of Santa Barbara for nearly ten years.
Chief Sanchez began his career with the Los Angeles Police Department where he worked an array of assignments before becoming the Chief of Police for the Cities of Hollister and San Rafael, before landing in Santa Barbara.
He holds an Associate of Arts degree from Rio Hondo College in Whittier, a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Redlands and a master's degree in Human Resources Organization Development from the University of San Francisco.
Cam has served as President of the California Police Chief's Association and currently serves on a variety of community and non-profit boards. He has designed and implemented programs such as, policing in the mental health field and is involved extensively with youth programs in the City of Santa Barbara.
Chief Sanchez has developed a consulting firm, which will address leadership and human and organization development as well as personal coaching and organizational assessments.
His hobbies include playing golf and writing and he is currently writing a mystery novel and a leadership text book. Cam and his wife Olivia have four daughters.
