With 30 years corporate service in telecommunications, Constance began her career in her hometown, St. Paul, Minnesota. She served 5 years active and 3 years reserve duty in the US Air Force and holds the Bronze Star and Meritorious Service Medal among other awards. Passionately committed to the education of colleagues and working professionals, she initiated higher education programs on Pacific Bell premises (a Fortune 50 Corporation) that graduated thousands of women and men in Bachelor and Masters degrees. Upon leaving the corporate sphere, she works in higher education and continues to expand her contributions to the areas of teaching, higher education assessment and distance education/Internet and video delivery. She served as an Associate Professor and Associate Dean in Golden Gate University's School of Technology. In these positions she developed and helped lead the development of many graduate programs in Digital Security, Enterprise and Network Systems. She continues to teach as an adjunct faculty.
She currently serves as a half time faculty at the Union Institute & University, Cincinnati, Ohio in the Doctorate of Education Program.
She holds a B.A. from the University of Minnesota, M.P.A. and M.S. in Systems and Network Management from Golden Gate University, and an Ed.D. -from the University of San Francisco.
She is passionately committed to the advancement of women and the preservation and restoration of the environment. To support environmental issues, she is currently the Chair of the Community Sustainability Commission in Benicia, California where she lives and produces video documentary and Internet video streaming. She serves the community in many capacities from committees, Board participation (Buckminser Fuller Institute, University of San Francisco, etc) to leading and coordinating the City's Emergency response training. She is an amateur Ham radio operator and her call sign is KI6AZV.
