Dr. Cynthia Babzien's lifelong dream was to serve as a teacher for children with special needs. To achieve her goal, she earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Florida International University and a master's degree from Barry University in Miami, Florida.
She later worked with Dr. Arlene Sacks. Together they researched Trisomy 13 and 18, attended a conference in Birmingham, England and published an article in the Journal of the International Association of Special Education.
In 2000, she earned her Ph.D. with a concentration in Educational Leadership from Union Institute & University. Dr. Babzien currently serves as an Exceptional Student Education Specialist with the Hillsborough County School District of Tampa, Florida.
