Professor Guskos is a veteran with the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department who has worked several different assignments, including custody, patrol, gangs, and training, along with the maintaining of budgets. Currently, he is active with the Sheriff's Department, working in a supervisor capacity.
He teaches part time at Union Institute & University and California State University, Fullerton. Professionally, Professor Guskos has been interviewed several times by the media on various matters relating to the criminal justice system. Additionally, he is co-authoring a complex criminal investigation text book, to be published by Pearson in the near future. Professor Guskos also produced and edited a highly regarded one-on-one interview with a prison gang member. The interview footage is used by sheriff and police departments all over the United States as a training tool for new and experienced law enforcement personnel.
