Union Institute & University began with a vision of being a "university without walls” – an institution where working adults could have the opportunity to pursue a degree regardless of where they lived and worked. Many of the most commonly used terms in higher education – nontraditional students, interdisciplinary study, distance learning, mentoring, and social relevance – refer to concepts pioneered by Union more than 45 years ago. Our founders recognized early on that, as a degree-seeking adult, you need a way to integrate your life with your learning.
It has always been our goal to provide innovative higher education alternatives to working professionals. We are focused on placing you at the center of your own education. That's why myUnion is your Union. Your Union education is designed to honor your life experiences and help you achieve your personal and career goals, all while providing you with transformational education that helps you make a difference in your own life and the lives of others.
