Dr. Grace S. Jones (Ph.D. 1985)

Dr. Grace S. JonesDr. Jones was appointed president of Three Rivers Community College in 2001, and is credited with “designing a new school and designing a new curriculum.”

In true Union spirit, she has helped steward Three Rivers’ mission to encourage life long learning. Her rich career in higher education administration began in 1990 when she took on the role of vice president for multicultural affairs at the State University of New York, College of Oneonta.

Prior to her work at Three Rivers, Dr. Jones also served as president of the College of Eastern Utah (CEU). She is a member of Phi Beta Phi, was recognized as a Distinguished Alumna at Washburn University, where she earned her undergraduate degree, and was named Woman of the Year by the Norwich chapter of the Business and Professional Women's Organization in 2005.

She recently oversaw the groundbreaking on an $85.6 million consolidation of Three Rivers that included renovation of the existing facility and new construction. Dr. Jones is also an active participant in her community, forging alliances and partnerships with hospitals and other agencies to benefit her students.
