Social responsibility and affecting change have always been at the forefront of Union’s mission and vision for the future. Union makes use of its creative energy and interdisciplinary education to create unique solutions to challenges around the world.

Our students personify purpose and vision by making meaningful, positive change where they live. Our alumni are leaders in the public, private, and non-profit sectors around the world. Our faculty have distinguished themselves throughout their careers and are nationally recognized for their expertise. Those awarded the UI&U Honorary Doctorate embody Union’s mission, vision, and values and have dedicated their lives to social justice and community action.
