Bari Kraus

Bari has worked as a school based therapist in several Cincinnati school districts providing counseling, intervention planning, prevention education, and case management services for 20 years. She has directed community programs, provided individual and family therapy, and currently facilitates training in the area of social and emotional development of the young child in area Head start and community based programs.

She received her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Virginia Commonwealth University and her master’s degree in social work from University of Cincinnati, specializing in school social work, counseling, and intervention based services.

She has worked on a multi-disciplinary medical team at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in the areas of child abuse, endocrinology, and liver transplant, providing resource information and case management services. She represented Loveland City Schools as The Ohio State Parent Representative for all day kindergarten in 2000.

Bari is currently department chair of Union Institute & University’s human services major and also serves as a faculty advisor and instructor.
