Admissions Consideration Timetable for July 2012 Residency

To ensure that your application is considered for the July 2012 cohort, please respond to the items listed below:

  • Attend an Online Information Session: This is a good opportunity to gather in depth information about the Ph.D. program and university, and to speak with admissions and academic representatives.  Either the Dean or Associate Dean is present for each call, and we often have faculty and current students who participate as well.  Each call is approximately 1 hour in length and there is plenty of time for any questions you may have.     • General program information:
      The first half of each call will provide an overview of the Ph.D. program and during the second half a presentation will be given on the concentration listed.
      • January 25 – General info/Public Policy & Social Change
      • February 16 – General info/Humanities & Culture
      • March 27 – General info/Ethical & Creative Leadership
    • In addition to the above calls, we also host three topic specific calls:
      • March 15 – Financial Aid
      • April 18 – Information Technology
      • May 10 – Library and Research Services

  • Complete the 2012-13 FAFSA to be considered for financial aid, www.fafsa.ed.gov

  • May 1, 2012: eWelcome Session 7:00 pm (EST) via Adobe Connect.
    This is a special online session for those who have already submitted a complete application. This call will cover residency details and select special topics.
  • May 1, 2012: Deadline to complete your application for admission and submit all items for priority consideration for January 2012 enrollment.
  • May 15, 2012: Deadline for admitted students to:
    • Pay $200 Deposit
    • Submit Initial Academic Residency packet
    • Submit housing reservation for Kingsgate Marriott for residency. Room rate: $89/night + tax, free parking (www.kingsgatemarriott.com)
  • May 15, 2012:Student Registration Day (New and Current)
  • May 31, 2012 eOrientation via Adobe Connect
    • 7:00 pm (EST)
    • Join your fellow PhD Cohort members, meet your new colleagues, and begin networking
  • July 6-14, 2012, Residency
