You probably have a few preconceived notions about how a college education is supposed to work.
You can't afford to go back to college.
You don't have the time to take off work.
College doesn't offer the classes you want.
But it's time to change your thinking.
At Union Institute & University, our goal is to provide innovative higher education alternatives that match your needs, your schedule, and your goals. We know that you have a busy life and that's why we are focused on placing you at the center of your own education. At Union your education is designed to match your life experiences and help you achieve your personal and career goals.
Philosophy and Requirements
Every degree program is rooted in Union's fundamental commitment to provide interdisciplinary, socially relevant studies in a model that calls for you as a learner to critically consider your studies within and beyond the classroom and then act upon that knowledge in the greater community. That means whichever program you choose, you have the opportunity to make it your own.
Program Delivery
Each degree program offers a rich academic environment where you can interact with faculty and fellow learners and flexible class times. Combining traditional learning with learning outside the classroom, a Union education offers you the choice of online and low-residency degree options:
Transfer Credits
At Union you'll build on what you already know so you can best follow your interests and passions. That's why we accept transfer credits from a variety of sources, including other accredited academic institutions, college-level experiential learning, workshop documentation, military training, CLEP exams, and more.
Union has one of the most flexible transfer credit policies in higher education, designed to provide a wide range of opportunities for our learners to accelerate their progress toward degree attainment.
And at Union, there's no statute of limitations on transfer credits. Whether you earned college credit two weeks ago or more than 20 years ago, we recognize the value of your past learning.
