Union Institute & University’s low-residency doctoral program is built on progressive thinking and rigorous academic study. Students move through the program as members of cohorts, small academic communities formed at each academic residency to promote sustained interaction among students and between students and faculty. Residencies take place each January and July in Cincinnati, Ohio.
While constant interaction among students and faculty takes place during the entire calendar year via the Union Institute & University online learning platform, bi-annual academic residencies provide face-to-face contact for nine (9) days each term. Residencies include the following activities:
The Cohort Compendium, is the Ph.D. program’s official blog, features news, updates, and professional opportunities for the Ph.D. Cohort community. Check back regularly for news and info from your cohort colleagues.
