Location
All residencies take place at Union Institute & University’s Brattleboro, Vermont Academic Center. The Brattleboro Academic Center is housed in restored farm buildings with residency activities taking place in “The Farmhouse”, “The Creamery”, and “The Pole Barn.” The red farm buildings are nestled in open hay fields with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The entrance to Fort Dummer State Park is a short walk away and offers 217 acres on which to stretch your legs between activities.

Brattleboro is a quaint, culturally vibrant town located just two hours from Boston, two hours from Connecticut, and an hour from central New Hampshire. The downtown area offers coffee shops, a variety of restaurants, shopping, antique stores, and a restored art deco hotel and movie theatre built in the early 1900s.  Not far from Brattleboro, outdoor lovers will find access to great skiing, hiking, mountain biking and fishing.
