Ben Williams has interests in educational leadership, community, curriculum, culture and the environment. Using backgrounds in anthropology and natural history, Ben has worked for many years in science and environmental education, place-based education and community education projects that focus on the connections between places and people.

Ben currently serves on the core faculty of the Vermont M. Ed. Program teaching seminars and courses in curriculum design and learning theory. He served for many years as a teacher licensure coordinator and also is currently the co-chair of the Vermont Council on Teacher Education (VCTE), an advocacy group for teacher education in the state.

Ben traveled and studied all over North America for many years with groups of students developing an expeditionary environmental education program for teachers sponsored by the National Audubon Society. He completed degrees from Hobart College, Lesley University, and has his doctorate from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Teaching, Curriculum, and Learning Environments. Ben remains a committed researcher, birder, naturalist, and old time fiddler.
