The Master of Education (M.Ed.) program prepares educational leaders to make meaningful, positive change within their institutions, and who are committed to lifelong inquiry. Working collaboratively with a faculty advisor, you'll design an individualized plan of study and be part of a unique community that supports, challenges, and enhances your learning process.

Focused on meeting the unique needs of adult learners, including preparation for certification or licensure in teaching, administration, or counseling, the goals of the M.Ed. program are to:

Credits to Degree – 36-48
Transfer Credits – Up to 6
Enrollment Dates – January, February, and July

Program Delivery
Learning takes place in a brief residency model that combines independent study with face-to-face meetings, academic residencies, seminars, and workshops. You'll participate in residency events where you'll meet with faculty to plan your course of study and specific independent studies.
Low-residency – Meeting at either our Florida Academic Center or Montpelier Academic Center, Master of Education residencies allow you to select an option that best fits your schedule and location.
Standard entry examinations such as the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) are not required. You determine your area of specialization and we build in the state certification requirements.
