Web
To access your e-mail via the Web, using a Web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer or Firefox), enter the address: http://mail.myunion.edu. To check your e-mail, enter your network user name and password (for example, Jane Doe's user name is doej.) Webmail is the fastest and most convenient way to access your e-mail. There is no need to install anything to use Webmail.
Citrix
Citrix Metaframe provides a more robust e-mail client, but requires a quick installation and is not quite as fast as Webmail. If this is your first time using Citrix, you will need to install the Citrix Web Client. To install the client, visit http://apps.myunion.edu/webclients and choose the client that matches your computer (Vista, XP, Mac OS, and Linux are all options).
To access your e-mail via Citrix Metaframe, using a Web browser, enter the address: http://apps.myunion.edu . This will redirect you to the Citrix Metaframe login page. Enter your username and password. Once you log in, you will have access to UI&U applications, including Outlook 2003. Click the Outlook 2003 icon to launch your e-mail client. The first time you launch the client, you will be prompted to provide some information, including the mail server. The mail server is: pigeon2.tui.edu .
POP3 Access
POP3 allows you to use almost any e-mail client to check your e-mail. If you use Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, etc. you can enable it to check your @myunion.edu address by adding the POP3 settings. The settings may vary between different e-mail clients and systems, so the following are a list of general settings. You may need to slightly adjust your settings depending upon which client or system you are using
POP3 Server: mail.myunion.edu
SMTP Server: this must be the server of your Internet Provider
Username/Account Name: networkID@tui-oh.net for example. This is NOT your e-email address. The first part is your network username (typically your lastname and first initial) followed by @tui-oh.net.
Password: this is your network password, not your CampusWeb password.
Many e-mail clients have an option called SPA (Secure Password Authentication). If you have this option, you must enable/check it. This should NOT be confused with the option to use SSL. Using SSL will NOT work.
