In order to be part of a seemless process at Union, the following processes and procedures are in place to create and remove accounts and to obtain help with various issues.
For new employees, the supervisor, or that person's delegate, must complete a Computer Services Security Request Form. This form is available on the internal Union network only at the http://forms site. This form can also be used to request additional or different security/access for a current employee.
For any Faculty or Staff member who needs assistance with any other technology issue, they should submit a Computer Service Request Form (CSR). This form is also available only on the internal Union network at http://forms .
New Employee Overview Process
When a new employee is hired, all paperwork must be submitted to the Human Resources Office. Only after ALL completed paperwork is submitted, the supervisor must complete a Computer Services Security Request Form (see above). At that time, Human Resources will create an account on the AS400. After this account is created, Computer Services will create network and e-mail accounts and add the requested AS400 access for the new employee.
The new account creation process usually takes several days to complete, so submitting the required paperwork and forms as early as possible is highly encouraged.
