The Information Technology department does not sell software, computers, or accessories, but we are frequently asked for recommendations. Please note that even though we recommend these, the university is not liable or responsible for any purchases that you make.

Windows 7 Discount for Colleges
Until January 3, 2010, college students, faculty and staff can buy Windows 7 for only $29.99.  Visit http://www.win741.com for more information.  Also, students can purchase Microsoft Office for only $59.95 at "The Ultimate Steal" (a Microsoft site).

Discounted Software
To receive software discounts, go to the JourneyEd Web site at http://www.journeyed.com .  A copy of your Union ID (available via CampusWeb) is required for discounted purchases.

Laptop Computer

Camera

Phone Equipment

Bibliographic Software
These software programs will help you keep track of your references and bibliographies when you are writing papers and conducting research.   • SAS
  • STATA - Stata has complete statistical, graphical, and data-management capabilities and is also fully programmable. Used by researchers of all disciplines. Online courses about using Stata are available for free.
  • StatLib - From the Department of Statistics at Carnegie Mellon, this collection contains a variety of software, macros, and data sets written in Fortran, C, and Lisp.
