Office of Institutional Effectiveness

The Office for Institutional Effectiveness is committed to assisting academic programs and administrative offices to foster continuous improvementBy helping establish goals and assess performance throughout the university, the staff of this office connects processes and provides reports to university faculty and administrators who are involved in teaching, advising, planning, and budgeting.

The office has four main functions:

  • Institutional Effectiveness: work with staff in business, registrar, financial aid, and admission offices to  evaluate department goals.
  • Academic Assessment:  work with faculty to assess learning outcomes.
  • Institutional Research:  work with academic programs and administrative offices to gather and interpret data.
  • Institutional Review Board:  work with faculty and learners to ensure ethical practices in research, particularly research involving human subjects.
