As an alumnus of Union Institute & University’s Bachelor of Arts program, Rachel is delighted to share and promote the programs that have their roots at the Vermont Academic Center. Rachel has a BA in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Writing & Literature and is in the midst of a graduate program in Education. Before graduating from the Bachelor of Arts program, she had attended several traditional colleges though she had taken a non-traditional educational path during her high school years. Her family encouraged creativity and deep learning outside of a formal classroom setting. In fact, as a teen, she was very fortunate to participate and experiment in a home school program. When she finally found her way to the Bachelor of Arts program at UI&U, she felt that she had truly come “home” again!
