Applicants to the Yellow Ribbon Program with UI&U must submit their completed application along with the certificate of eligibility form from the Veterans Administration directly to one of the VA certifying officials at the university.
When these documents are submitted, the applicant will be given a place in line for the limited number of Yellow Ribbon Scholars. The UI&U VA Certifying Official will ensure that the documents are complete and send them to Admissions for further processing and collection of application materials.
In order to establish priority status, a learner who is already enrolled at UI&U must submit a letter of interest (written or e-mail) in the Yellow Ribbon Program to the certifying official before the end of the current term. If the learner has not already submitted a copy of her or his Certificate of Eligibility, the certificate must accompany the letter of interest. This procedure must be followed every subsequent term as long as the learner is enrolled. All learners must meet SAP and other academic requirements to remain eligible.
Contact the VA certifying officials for your regional location.
