Amanda Louise Larson Amanda Louise Larson, M.A.

Amanda Larson’s life path has been joyful and varied.  She began her professional life as an actress, with varied theatre, film, and television work to her credit.  She also worked in television production, writing for local shows in the Baltimore/Washington market.

A mid-career need for change moved her to the non-profit world, and she eventually founded The Larson Institute in Washington, DC.  She consulted for a variety of non-profits all over the country, advising on all aspects of fundraising and marketing.

It was during this time that Amanda discovered the Adult Degree Program at Vermont College of Union Institute and University.  She completed her BA in 2001, and went on to earn an MA (cum laude) in theology from The General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church in New York City.

She now resides in Philadelphia and continues her work as a freelance development consultant and writer.

Still an active member of SAG and AFTRA, Amanda is also a published author (Healing From a Grandmother’s Heart, Larson Institute Press, 2000) and has contributed articles to Episcopal Life, The Lutheran magazine, and Beliefnet.com.
