The UI&U Library offers two databases available to Union Institute & University alumni.

Academic Search Alumni Edition is designed for the research needs of the post-college professional. The database provides full text for more than 3,190 journals as well as indexing and abstracting for more than 8,000 journals. The database offers information in nearly every area of academic study including biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, psychology, religion & theology, and more. Academic Search Alumni Edition also includes valuable peer-reviewed full text journals, offering critical information from many sources.

Business Source Alumni Edition is designed for the research needs of the post-college professional. The database provides more than 1,540 full text business magazines and journals, of which 770 are peer-reviewed. This database includes publications in nearly every area of business including marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance, econometrics, economics and more. Business Source Alumni Edition includes full text sources ranging from general periodicals to trade publications and top management journals. Additional full text sources include country economic reports, industry reports, market research reports, company profiles and more.

Readyminds Career Counseling
Union Institute & University’s Office of Alumni Affairs has entered into a partnership with ReadyMinds, a leading provider of distance career counseling, to support UI&U alumni in managing their careers. Our goal is to help alums prepare for new and exciting jobs, change careers, go on to graduate school, or transition out of the work place. This value added service is designed for our alums who want to reach new levels of success. It is designed to meet the varying needs of alumni – from those at the start of their careers to high level executives and educators. Available Services
Our career coaches are trained and experienced in providing career coaching in person or via phone and/or e-mail. Sessions can be conducted by phone or via the Internet, depending on what best meets your needs and is mutually agreed upon by you and your career counselor. Services are customized and cost-effective. ReadyMinds offers all Union alums service options at a special discounted rate for Union Institute & University alums only!
