Bill Lax, Ph.D., ABPP Dr. Lax is Dean of the Psy.D. Program in Clinical Psychology at Union Institute & University. Throughout his career, Bill has continually integrated his theoretical and applied interests in family therapy, postmodernism, narrative therapy, and Buddhism with his practice of clinical psychology. He believes in merging the personal and the professional, and through his academic work, publications and presentations, he has tried to present his thinking in as accessible a manner as possible.
Bill received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the Fielding Institute in 1983. He is a licensed psychologist in Vermont and New Hampshire and is a Diplomate in Couple & Family Psychology, American Board of Professional Psychology. He lives in rural Vermont with his partner where he enjoys time gardening and managing their woodlot.
