New UI&U Intranet designed for faculty, staff, and current learners
In late April, UI&U will unveil the newest addition to our Web services: a university Intranet. Designed specifically for the university’s internal audience, the UI&U Intranet will house information for the university’s faculty, staff, and current learners. The addition of this internal portal will not only provide a platform for enriched and increased communication, but will also serve as one of the first steps in the redesign of the university’s Web site.
When first browsing through the UI&U Intranet, faculty and staff will find internal announcements from university administration, employment postings, faculty handbooks, university policies, calendar events, forms, and pertinent payroll and timesheet information. Current learners will have access to program handbooks and forms, information from the UI&U Business Office and Registrar’s Office, direct links to Learner Webmail and eCollege, and much more.
The UI&U Computer Services Department and Communications Department would like to thank the many offices who have helped construct this new Web service. Internal communication is crucial to the success of any organization, and we look forward to providing the best possible vehicle to strengthen the lines of communication across the university. Be on the lookout for the new UI&U Intranet come early May.
