UI&U Lincoln RobertsRobert Lincoln Roberts, Admission Counselor, Doctorate in Education, Florida Center

A passion for education is what brings Robert Lincoln Roberts Jr. to UI&U.

Born and raised in South Carolina, he has worked in the sales/information technology/education field for the past eight years. His professional career began with RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company.

“RJ Reynolds gave me world-class sales training and business savvy to close deals,” Lincoln said. “But they also unfortunately tested my personal ethics with their products.”

Against popular opinion, he left the company and moved to Florida. An interest in computers led him to pursue a master’s degree in information technology.

“My studies of I.T. not only secured my foundation in computer technology, but I also found an interest in distance learning.”

Today, utilizing nontraditional learning formats and spreading the importance of attaining an education is his ambition.

"I embrace the mission statement of UI&U,” he said. “And I have committed my efforts towards meeting those objectives.”
