Dr. P. Neal Meier, director of alumni relations, was recently appointed interim dean of the Vermont B.A. programs. Dr. Meier was also recently named president of the Central Vermont Chamber of Commerce Vermont Business Association.

“Union has had a long tradition of working with, and being very active in, the Central Vermont Chamber of Commerce,” said Dr. Meier. “This is a great opportunity for us to continue to help our Vermont community.” Read more here.

Kathleen Murphy, Interim Director of Admissions for Vermont Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs
Kathleen Murphy has been appointed interim director of admissions for Vermont-based bachelor’s and master’s programs. Sixteen years of experience at UI&U has prepared her for the new challenge of supervising staff for recruitment and admissions for several programs, including the B.A. Colloquium, Vermont M.Ed. ; M.A. Online, B.A. Online, Weekend Montpelier, and Weekend Brattleboro programs.

Diane Robinson has been appointed director of admissions for the Brattleboro Academic Center, B.A. Brattleboro Weekend, M.A. Psych, CAGS, and Psy.D. programs. She will continue to provide counseling and recruitment outreach for the Psy.D. program.

Diane's background is largely in international education, with a specialty in admissions, recruitment, and marketing for study abroad programs, including those at the School for International Training and, most recently, at the Boston University-accredited School for Field Studies. From 2001 to 2003, Diane served as the academic coordinator for the Community College of Vermont's Brattleboro Center, where she spearheaded the design of their study abroad programs and taught film studies. She holds a B.A. in theater and film and a M.Ed. in school counseling, both from Keene State College in New Hampshire. A world traveler, Diane remains passionate about life outside the boundaries of New England.

“As the new admissions director for all Brattleboro programs, my goal is to continue to open our doors to the community, including hosting faculty lectures, films and discussions, open houses, visiting days, and other events featuring current learners and alumni,” said Diane. “Union has been a solid presence in the Brattleboro community now for many years. In the last few years, our programs have grown to include a Doctor of Psychology based out of the Marlboro Graduate Center downtown and a new certificate of advanced graduate studies (CAGS) with concentrations in psychology and counseling, housed in the Vermont Agricultural and Education Center on Old Guilford Road. We continue to offer cutting-edge, low -residency undergraduate programs.”

Diane will also serve as the spokesperson for enrollment in Brattleboro leadership forums, such as the Chamber of Commerce, United Way, and other networking opportunities.

Suzanne Rexford-Winston, Enrollment Counselor, Montpelier Academic Center
Suzanne Rexford-Winston has accepted the position of Enrollment Counselor for the Montpelier Academic Center.

Suzanne currently serves as a part-time academic advisor at Burlington College and adjunct instructor for the Community College of Vermont. She previously served at Union as an adjunct faculty member in 2008, teaching education and art, and as an enrollment counselor in 2005-06. She earned a B.A. in English and art from Johnson State College and a M. Ed. in curriculum and instruction in the expressive arts from Lesley College in Boston, MA.

Suzanne will focus on counseling for the B.A. program’s Montpelier weekend, colloquium, and online options.

Kris Wells, Assistant Director, MA Online
Kris Wells has joined the M.A. Online team as assistant director.  Kris brings two years of experience as an admissions counselor for UI&U’s Vermont master’s programs and a background in both administration and marketing.  Her duties will include day-to-day management of the program office. In addition, Kris will work with the admissions office to coordinate and implement program-related recruiting and admission activities.
