Responsibilities of the Criterion Subcommittees

  1. Be familiar with general requirements and expectations of the Higher Learning Commission (HLC)
  2. Be familiar with the subcommittee criterion and its components
  3. Adhere to the outcome and process goals of the self-study
  4. Select, obtain, and analyze data for the purpose of providing evidence
  5. Utilize input and resources provided by other subcommittees and SSSC
  6. Contribute other necessary data
  7. Provide the writer with outlines for chapters
  8. Compile data with analysis and documents for the resource room
  9. Represent the University first, specific departments second
  10. Attend subcommittee meetings
  11. Maintain confidentiality
  12. Be willing to offer difficult comments
  13. Honor conference call etiquette
  14. Be aware of and open to the challenges of people’s different approaches to working in a team
