Responsibilities of the Criterion Subcommittees
- Be familiar with general requirements and expectations of the Higher Learning Commission (HLC)
- Be familiar with the subcommittee criterion and its components
- Adhere to the outcome and process goals of the self-study
- Select, obtain, and analyze data for the purpose of providing evidence
- Utilize input and resources provided by other subcommittees and SSSC
- Contribute other necessary data
- Provide the writer with outlines for chapters
- Compile data with analysis and documents for the resource room
- Represent the University first, specific departments second
- Attend subcommittee meetings
- Maintain confidentiality
- Be willing to offer difficult comments
- Honor conference call etiquette
- Be aware of and open to the challenges of people’s different approaches to working in a team
