Transcript Requests, Diplomas, And Certificates

Transcript Requests

Students have 24/7 access to their unofficial transcript and grades via CampusWeb access. Current students, former students, and graduates of UI&U programs may request official transcripts at any time; however, no official transcript will be released unless the individual has met all financial obligations to the university.

Two official transcripts are provided at no charge upon graduation. Both are stamped “Student Copy,” with one sent in a sealed envelope. Students or graduates who need an official transcript for application for admission to another college or university should be aware that most schools require that official transcripts be mailed directly from the awarding institution.

To request a transcript, complete and submit the Transcript Request form, available on the Registrar’s Office website. The form must be signed by the student and accompanied by payment of the transcript fee posted on the Registrar’s Office website.  The Transcript Request form can be mailed or faxed to the Registrar’s Office. The signed form can also be scanned and sent as an email attachment. Faxed and emailed requests must include credit card billing authorization for the transcript fee payment. Mailed requests should include a check to cover the transcript fee, payable to Union Institute & University.

Official transcripts will be sent within 7 to 10 business days from the date the request is received by the Registrar’s Office.

Diplomas and Certificates

UI&U automatically issues one diploma or certificate, at no charge, to each graduate. Diplomas and certificates are released only after all academic degree or certificate completion requirement have been certified by the program’s dean and the university registrar, and all financial obligations to the university have been paid in full.

The name printed on the diploma is the graduate’s name as it is officially listed in the UI&U student information system. If there has been a name change, please refer to the Name Change Policy and Procedures.  The diploma degree grant date or the certificate completion date is, in most cases, the last day of the month of the student’s final term of registration.

The diploma or certificate will be mailed to the graduates’ permanent mailing address as listed in the UI&U student information system. After the degree is noted on a graduate’s transcript, the diploma is mailed within 5-7 business days.

Graduates may request replacement or additional diplomas or certificates by submitting the “Ordering Your Union Institute & University Diploma” form on the Registrar’s Office Website. There is a charge for replacement or additional diplomas and certificates.
