Beverly Carter-Remy



Beverly earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from Bethune-Cookman University where she also studied applied music. She furthered her studies by earning an M.S. in Reading Education and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.

Beverly has served as an administrator with Miami Dade County Public Schools for the past thirteen years. Prior to administration, Beverly was an elementary school teacher and later an adult education department chairperson. She currently serves as the Vice Principal at Lindsey Hopkins Technical Education Center, the first vocational/technical center built in Miami-Dade County which serves more than 12,000 students each year.

Socially and civically, Beverly is a member of the Board of Directors of FANM Ayisyen Nan Miyami, (FANM)/Haitian Women of Miami, Inc. and Zeta Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Because of her experiences as an adjunct faculty, Beverly could not pass up the opportunity to take a more active role as faculty in the M.Ed. and Ed.S. Programs at Union Institute & University. Her areas of interest include identifying alternative workable solutions for both educators and students through mentoring and motivational speaking.
