The UI&U Library offers two databases available to Union Institute & University alumni.
Academic Search Alumni Edition is designed for the research needs of the post-college professional. The database provides full text for more than 3,190 journals as well as indexing and abstracting for more than 8,000 journals. The database offers information in nearly every area of academic study including biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, psychology, and religion & theology. Academic Search Alumni Edition also includes valuable peer-reviewed full-text journals, offering critical information from many sources.
Business Source Alumni Edition is also designed for the research needs of the post-college professional. The database provides more than 1,540 full-text business magazines and journals, of which 770 are peer-reviewed. This database includes publications in nearly every area of business including marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance, econometrics, and economics. Business Source Alumni Edition includes full-text sources ranging from general periodicals to trade publications and top management journals. Additional full-text sources include country economic reports, industry reports, market research reports, and company profiles.
Due to licensing restrictions, access to other databases the UI&U Library subscribes to is limited to current students, faculty, and staff.

To obtain a copy of your own dissertation, please request it through your local library’s interlibrary loan services or purchase it directly from ProQuest. Unfortunately, we cannot provide copies directly to our alumni due to database licensing restrictions set by Proquest. Dissertations can be ordered from ProQuest using their Dissertation Express service.
Student theses from both our Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts Programs that were produced prior to 2002 are housed at the Norwich University Library in Northfield VT. Alumni can contact Norwich University Library at 802-485-2176 or firstname.lastname@example.org for information on how to access their theses.
Student theses from our BA and MA programs produced since 2002 are either online in a PDF format accessible through our online catalog or in a physical format at our New England Academic Center in Brattleboro, where they are awaiting digitization. Please contact us for assistance accessing your thesis.
