Union Institute & University and ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI) Announce Articulation Agreement

Union Institute & University and ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI), a nationally accredited distance training institution dedicated to the child care industry, are proud to announce an articulation agreement.

Effective immediately, students who successfully complete the CCEI Early Childhood Credential may articulate 12 semester hours of credit towards a bachelor’s degree at Union Institute & University. In addition, students who successfully complete the CCEI Online Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC) Certificate receive 10 semester hours of credit toward their bachelor’s degree at Union Institute & University. Those who complete the CCEI Online Instructor Supported CDA Certificate may articulate eight semester hours of credit.

“It is an honor and a great opportunity for Union to collaborate with ChildCare Education Institute, particularly during our 50th anniversary year,” said Union Institute & University’s Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Nelson Soto. “Union has a legacy of serving adult learners who transform lives and communities. We look forward to serving CCEI students as they further their education and contribute to society in this very meaningful way.”

Maria C. Taylor, President and CEO of CCEI, is excited about the benefits of the partnership to students. “Online education continues to offer great opportunities for early childhood educators to improve their knowledge and skills in a flexible learning environment. This articulation agreement with Union Institute & University supports educators throughout the early childhood industry as they move up the career ladder.”

Union Institute & University shares CCEI’s commitment to offering a flexible approach to online education. Union Institute & University academic programs are designed to meet unique learning styles and varying personal schedules. Combining traditional learning with learning outside the classroom, a Union education offers students the choice of online and low-residency degree options.
